The Mission of The Josiah Foundation is:
To help those living in deep poverty and without the basic necessities of life, and in so doing to communicate the gospel and love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
To find and share evidences of a powerful, sovereign, and loving God who personally exercises kindness, justice and righeousness on earth, and in so doing to glory God and strengthen the faith of many people in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We seek to identify, promote and support those who faithfully and effectively minister in impoverished areas of the world. We seek to connect people to opportunities; opportunities to give in order to dramatically change the lives of those in great material and/or spiritual poverty.
Specific Goals/Methods of the Josiah Foundation:
-
Specifically and practically meet material and spiritual needs of those living in deep poverty.
-
Provide “micro loans” as start-up capital to enable people to start their own businesses, become self sufficient, and to help others within their spheres of influence.
-
Provide funding/supplies for:
-
Orphanages
-
Schools/teachers/students
-
Medical treatment
-
Emphasize personal development by helping people to develop into individuals who, after receiving help themselves, will in turn help others.
-
Utilize various media (web site, newsletters, video documentaries, et al.) to:
-
Promote/support those who faithfully minister to the world's poor.
-
Provide connection for those who wish to make a difference in the life of someone living in poverty. Connection opportunities include giving, going, and praying.
-
